Sunday riding.

The five horses noticed us calling to them. Of course, they were interested in having company, but did that mean they were going to be ridden?Only one way to find out. Might as well go see what the people want.Millie's heading the pack. Funnily, when she realized she was going to be one of "the ridden", she took off back to where they had been. Luckily, my sister brought out some feed and she was happy to come back.Prince VanDoe is finally old enough to start training. He's all saddled up and ready to go.We got as far as the drive, and Prince VanDoe wasn't so sure he wanted to go anywhere. I was on Sammie and we had gotten some distance away. I decided to move her from a walk, to a trot or gallup, and go back to where PV was standing.Bad move so early in the ride. Sammie started jumping around, and I landed on the hard ground.Even though I landed on my right backside, my legs were bruised from the saddle. Here's the other. My back upper buttock is awfully sore, but doesn't seem to have bruised...yet. Anyway, I was able to get up and get back on.This barn was along the way. There were some pretty flowers in the front of it, but they didn't turn out in the picture.Aw! Look who's waiting for us to come back. Sweet Hermie and Jeremiah. What good little horses. Next time we go riding, I'm asking to ride one of them:)
Here I am on Sammie. This was the first time I had gotten to ride her. She has a rocking chair walk. Since I didn't stay on to see how she runs, I don't know how her trot or gallup is. Another picture of Sammie with me on her back. We probably wouldn't have had any trouble if I had waited to try and run her until after we had ridden for a while.
