From the other blog....

Continuation of Why do I hurt?...part 2

Millie is thankful she didn't get picked.Sammie is glad she didn't get picked.Prince VanDoe is admiring the sulkey. Maybe, when he gets a bit older, he will be able to pull it.We talk about trailride mode, because Sis's horses love to run. When they go on trailrides, everybody else wants to slowly plod along. The horses don't mind walking, but they would like to have some quick activity, too...just to make the ride interesting!A bit of rural landscape.Oh, oh. Road closed... time to turn back.We turned to go back. It's funny how fast the horses started to go, once they started back. Here I am on Jeremiah.

The rest of the pictures will have to be posted later. Blogger isn't opening up the upload window, anymore. Perhaps, it's trying to tell me to get out and do something, today.

It turns out that it wasn't blogger causing the upload problem, it was a user error. The window was open, but I didn't realize it because other windows were open...Hermie, after the ride.Jeremiah, after the ride.Oh, oh, looks like trouble. Hermie's yelling at Jeremiah for eating all the horse treats!"No Ma! I didn't do it," screams Jeremiah.Ooooh, that hurt. Hermie let Jeremiah have it!Oh, no! What do we do? They're really pissed at each other!Looks like they're each giving as good as they're getting!Still. Won't someone DO something....Hermie decides enough is enough. "Don't let it happen, again!" she orders.Oh, look... Some guineas.Wow! Lots of food for winter. I helped move 20-23 bales up in here. THAT'S why I hurt:) My muscles aren't used to hard work.Aw, look. A toad.

Sunday riding.

The five horses noticed us calling to them. Of course, they were interested in having company, but did that mean they were going to be ridden?Only one way to find out. Might as well go see what the people want.Millie's heading the pack. Funnily, when she realized she was going to be one of "the ridden", she took off back to where they had been. Luckily, my sister brought out some feed and she was happy to come back.Prince VanDoe is finally old enough to start training. He's all saddled up and ready to go.We got as far as the drive, and Prince VanDoe wasn't so sure he wanted to go anywhere. I was on Sammie and we had gotten some distance away. I decided to move her from a walk, to a trot or gallup, and go back to where PV was standing.Bad move so early in the ride. Sammie started jumping around, and I landed on the hard ground.Even though I landed on my right backside, my legs were bruised from the saddle. Here's the other. My back upper buttock is awfully sore, but doesn't seem to have bruised...yet. Anyway, I was able to get up and get back on.This barn was along the way. There were some pretty flowers in the front of it, but they didn't turn out in the picture.Aw! Look who's waiting for us to come back. Sweet Hermie and Jeremiah. What good little horses. Next time we go riding, I'm asking to ride one of them:)
Here I am on Sammie. This was the first time I had gotten to ride her. She has a rocking chair walk. Since I didn't stay on to see how she runs, I don't know how her trot or gallup is. Another picture of Sammie with me on her back. We probably wouldn't have had any trouble if I had waited to try and run her until after we had ridden for a while.

Riding the horses.

Sammie and Prince VanDoe

Sis, Sammie, and Prince VanDoe

Jeremiah

Hermie. As you can see, she's ready to stampede. That's why she had to be locked up behind so many fences. Not really. She had just gotten new shoes, and Sis wanted to be able to catch her when we got ready to ride.

Millie. She's going to pick out new shoes.

Hermie, Sis, Millie, Friend

Horse Down - Jeremiah, cooling off after being ridden.

I'm riding Jeremiah

It was a very nice day to go riding. The horses were ready to run. What a great fun day!
